How obssessed with books am I actually? // Book Quiz #1

Hello, hi, I hope you’re doing amazing! Happy Saturday! Today I had my first in-person piano class in almost two months and it felt so good to play a real piano instead of a digital one 😊 It was also nice to simply get out of the house for a change. Unfortunately, yesterday and today it’s rained so much and it’s very foggy outside and apparently it’s going to be like this for the entirety of next weeek 😦

Today I’m doing a book quiz because Riddhi @ Whispering Stories tagged me! Thank you so much for the tag, this looks like a lot of fun!

Let’s get started!

Question #1

I have two medium bookshelves in my bedroom but they’re both less than half-filled because most of the books I read are digital. So, technically the last answer is also right, but I’m just gonna go with the third one.

Question #2

I’ll be honest, I haven’t watched many book to movie adaptations, which is probably why my opinion is a bit unpopular, but the ones I’ve watched were good. For instance, Simon vs The Homosapiens Agenda or To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. I’m not saying they are better than the original but they were pretty enjoyable!

Question #3

I usually bring two to three physical books because I might change my mind on what I want to read and then I also have a bunch of ebooks on the Kindle app on my phone ready to be downloaded πŸ˜€

Question #4

It changes every year: last year I read about 60, in 2019 I read 100 and this year I’ve read 24 so far. Either way, a lot more than twenty.

Question #5

I’m someone who really likes their sleep and after midnight my mind usually gets too tired to properly process something like a book, so it’s rare that I stay up late just to finish one. I much prefer waking up earlier because it has the bonus of making me feel productive πŸ˜†

Question #6

There’s only one local library where I live and it doesn’t have a wide selection of books nor any in English so I never go there. However, when I had in-person school, I used to occasionally go to the school library during my lunch break to read.

Question #7

If I had more free time, I probably would be because they seem like a lot of fun!

Question #8

It depends on a lot of factors… does it have books in English, new releases, wide variety, etc. I wish I were one of those people who answers an entire day but I know myself and I get bored and distracted very easily even if I’m doing something I like so that probably wouldn’t be realistic.

Question #9

I only have second copies for a couple of Harry Potter books that I bought a few years ago. Personally, I don’t really see the point of having more than one copy of a book unless you love it. But that’s just me, obviously! I do like seeing the special editions on other people’s shelves though.

Question #10

Duuuh!

Question #11

I actually don’t have any book shops near me, only like half an hour away and, unfortunately, it doesn’t have much variety, so I don’t go there too often.

Question #12

Lol, I do this all the time when I eat alone (can’t do it when my parents around otherwise they’ll tell to me stop reading while I’m eating πŸ˜…).

Question #13

I once brought a book to a wedding…. yeah… to be fair, I didn’t go to the actual wedding, only to the wedding reception, so it’s not as bad, I don’t think…

Question #14

This is actually a pretty good post idea …. A couple of them would be The Way I Used to Be by Amber Smith and City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.

My Result:

I don’t know if 76% is a good score or not, but I’m happy about it regardless!

  1. I was literally playing along with you! And I eat while reading alone too!! And I pack like three or more physical books and then my mom has to force everything out and make me pack again. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… I am not gonna lie, there are some movie adaptations that I liked better than the book – dash and Lily tv show and five feet apart. The books weren’t that good. I haven’t read dash and Lily but…it’s people say that it’s not that good and it sounds boring as well so. πŸ™„

    1. I totally understand what you said about your mum, my parents always side eye me when I pack a lot of books and I end up taking one or two out πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
I’ve heard a lot about Five Feet Apart when it came out but I never watched or read the books. Do you think the movie is worth watching? Also, I had no idea what Dash and Lily was so I watched the trailer and it seems kinda silly but a fun series to watch to pass the time!

  2. omg your answers are so relatable, like who doesn’t smell their books? and going to a party without book is a blasphemy! I almost always eat dinner with my books these day πŸ™‚

    1. Ikr??? I think only people who don’t read find that weird and don’t do it lol
      Ahahaha, trueee, always come prepared!
I wish I could do that almost every day too πŸ˜ͺ

  3. It was so fun comparing answers! πŸ€— I totally feel you on wishing your local library had more English books – I think I probably have more in my room than our library has combined, which is really sad when you think about it… And the Harry Potter books are also the only ones I own multiple copies of! In fact, if it weren’t for the fact that I barely own any e-books (the ones I do read, I usually borrow from Scribd), we might be bookish twins πŸ˜„

    1. Honestly, probably same, I think I have more English books than my library and I don’t have that many books in English in my physical shelves!
Bookish twins, I love that! πŸ˜„
