A ship that started with cheating! This happens so often in YA and I find it so unnecessary and frustrating 😩

• A book you wish you could read for the first time again?

Some Other Now by Sarah Everett! Will I ever shut up about this book? 🤔 Sure, when everyone’s read it 😉

• Favorite dessert?

Wafer cake – it’s one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten 😋

• Why did you start blogging?

I wanted to have a place where I could talk about anything related with books and I’d thought about creating a Youtube channel, but I knew if I did it, it would be a very long time until I had the guts to. So then I thought about starting a blog and researched a bunch on how to set up a website and whatnot and then did it! I had no idea the blogging community was so big and still thriving until I created a blog myself.

• Favorite subject at school?

Might sound weird if you are a native speaker, which I’m not, but English it’s is. I’ve always had a knack for languages and in December of last year I wrote my CPE (Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English) exam so I don’t have to pay much attention in English class to have a good grade.

• Favorite genre? (for tv shows, movies, books, etc.)

For books it’s definitely contemporary and for movies and series it’s fantasy and comedy.

• Favorite food?

Vegan burger 🤤

• Marvel or DC?

I have a small confession… I’ve only watched two or three super hero movies so I wish I could answer this question, but I have no idea 😬

• Fantasy or sci fi or contemporary?

Contemporary all the way!!! (although i really like fantasy too)

• Do you like to travel?

I do! Three years ago, I went on a road trip to a few European countries and it was such a cool experience 😀

Honestly, probably my own country’s, Portuguese cuisine. But at the same time, I haven’t tried that many cuisines, so take that with a pinch of salt.

• Least favourite book tropes?

The “I’m not like other girls” and the surprise pregnancy tropes.

• What’s one place you really want to travel to?

I would really like to go to Rome. I’ve been to Italy once and I thought it was so beautiful and culturally rich (and the food was delicious!!).

• If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

For the longest time, I wanted to live in London. Now, I don’t really know anymore. I think I still need to travel a lot more until I can decide on a place.

• What are your pet peeves?

People who constantly stop walking in the middle of a crowded flight of stairs to talk to someone. I swear there are so many people who do this at my school and it’s so annoying!! I have classes to attend!! Also, loud chewing.

• Would you ever end up in jail? Like for some small prank or something?

This is such a fun question! Maybe for like, I don’t know, shoplifiting something? That sounds so bad, but it would be something super cheap from an unethical company. For some reason, I feel like that would be kinda thrilling (obviously, not something you should do, but this is hypothetical, okay?)

• What’s your favourite colour?

Blue 💙

• If your life was a movie, what kind of movie would it be?

I took a Buzzfeed quiz (what’s new? 😂) and it said my life would be a horror movie? Ummm, what?? I have no idea how it turned out like that. In my opinion, it would probably a coming of age story, cause, you know, I am a teen.

Why are you making me choose????? 😭 After much deliberation, I think I’ll go with series just because some of my favourite characters of all time are part of series.

• Your favorite shows/movies?

Favourite shows – The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, How I Met Your Mother and probably Shadow and Bone when I finish it. Favourite movies: The Fault in Our Stars, Maze Runner and Twilight – they’re my comfort movies (I know Twilight is not particularly good, but it’s super entertaning so 💁‍♀️)

• Your favorite holiday?

I don’t have one 🤷‍♀️ When I was younger, it was Christmas but with time, it’s lost its magic, you know?

• What’s a book that you think would make a really good movie?

Vicious by V. E. Schwab would be such a great movie!!

The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson – the first standalone that made me go “wow, reading is freaking awesome!”

• What is the last book you bought and why did you buy it?

The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon – I bought it because I’ve heard great things about this author and I want to read her YA contemporary Today Tonight Tomorrow.
